EF15 - Operation Desert Snow

The Department Of Pawpetry Entertainment returns to EuroFurence for it’s 10th anniversary this year.

We have worked hard to create a play for you that captures the spirit of 1001 arabic nights, the official convention theme for EuroFurence 15.

During the convention you will also find various presentations about the show, explaining how we work backstage and how we archieved some of the special effects.

Come and join us for an evening full of exotic adventures.

Rehearsal – The Second

July 12th, 2009 by Fairlight

And again we’re back from a very productive weekend, filled with puppetry and Jaegermeister.

Rehearsal took a long time, with us beeing forced encouraged by our dictator director to repeat almost every scene at least twice.

The result’s quite impressive, tho, and I am looking forward to the show at Eurofurence 15!

There’s also quite a lot planned in terms of pawpetry for this EF, seeing as it’s our 10th anniversary… but I cannot speak of that, yet, lest they punish me severely for telling.

Weekend is over

June 22nd, 2009 by Lynard

Well, the first rehearsal weekend is over and i am still tired (though it’s monday evening). Lots of things to memorize, places where the puppets have to be and so on. It’s also a little complicated as we have a fresh start, that means no props to interact with. There is still a lot of work ahead us.

The Countdown starts…

June 15th, 2009 by Lynard

Greetings,

Four days left for us before we gather for our first show rehearsal. This year is special for me as it is the tenth anniversary for the LSD Show. Imagine that: 10 years pawpetry (I am still not sure why i am doing that *grin*). Currently i am working on two additional things for EF. As it will be some sort of surprise i am not going to talk much about, but be sure you will like it.

Pawpetry 2009: 1001 Victorian Theatres!

May 19th, 2009 by Fairlight

It seems the pawpet season is starting again!

After a rather long hiatus,  furry puppetry has finally re-emerged from the depths of winter lazyness.

In just a few days, on the 23rd of May, during Confuzzled, the team of PawPets UK will perform their very first puppet play. I am not entirely sure if I am at liberty to reveal the name of the production, but I am quite sure I am not giving away too much when I say that it will be about the good old values of british victorian theatrics.

And later this year, during Eurofurence, there’ll be another LSD show coming up. This year, it’ll be the 10th anniversary of the show, if you include the very first one at Eurofurence 6.

Looking across the big ocean, I also received word that more and more people are planning to move from the traditional US puppetry concept of “Free For All” in favour of a more story- and plot-driven show. I must say, I am really looking forward to hearing and seeing more of that.

So, keep your ears perked and your eyes wide open, for this will be a quite pawpetastic year 2009!

EF14 Show Impression

September 22nd, 2008 by o'wolf

My parents sent me the following picture, taken by my father:

A snapshot of the last scene of Dreamcatchers

A snapshot of the last scene of Dreamcatchers

It is a bit hard to recognize due to the long exposure time and the noise, but I think it catches the atmosphere of the scene very well.
