ConFuzzled 2010

March 15th, 2010 by Fairlight

It’s been a while since the last update, but to be honest, in terms of pawpetry it was a long winter hiatus.

Things are picking up again now, what with the story for the next EF show being written as we speak, and of cause, the second installment of the PawPets UK production coming up in May.

If you enjoyed the show at ConFuzzled last year and if you look forward to the EuroFurence show each year, then you will be in for a treat, since this year’s ConFuzzled pawpet show combines the best elements of british comedy with a level of professionalism you learned to expect from a EuroFurence production.

A bigger stage, backdrops, more props than ever and a hilarious storyline await.

The PawPets UK team is looking forward to welcoming you to this year’s show.

More details on the show, including maybe a few teaser pictures and the title of the play may follow in a later post.

Seeyas,
Fairlight!

PS: Here’s a teaser that’s guaranteed not to spoil anything ^.^ The confused looking chap is myself truly, by the way.

Oh blank canvas, inspire me!

Pawpetry 2009: 1001 Victorian Theatres!

May 19th, 2009 by Fairlight

It seems the pawpet season is starting again!

After a rather long hiatus,  furry puppetry has finally re-emerged from the depths of winter lazyness.

In just a few days, on the 23rd of May, during Confuzzled, the team of PawPets UK will perform their very first puppet play. I am not entirely sure if I am at liberty to reveal the name of the production, but I am quite sure I am not giving away too much when I say that it will be about the good old values of british victorian theatrics.

And later this year, during Eurofurence, there’ll be another LSD show coming up. This year, it’ll be the 10th anniversary of the show, if you include the very first one at Eurofurence 6.

Looking across the big ocean, I also received word that more and more people are planning to move from the traditional US puppetry concept of “Free For All” in favour of a more story- and plot-driven show. I must say, I am really looking forward to hearing and seeing more of that.

So, keep your ears perked and your eyes wide open, for this will be a quite pawpetastic year 2009!

PawPet Show UK is in the planning

October 13th, 2008 by Fairlight

Everyone knows and loves the yearly Eurofurence PawPet Show. At least I would assume so, else you probably would not be reading this blog.

The talented team of the Confuzzled staff took on the daring challenge of putting together a PawPet show of their own at Confuzzled 2009.

What with me living in the UK now, I was contacted and asked for assistance, which I will happily give, in any way I can.

Obviously, I cannot talk too much about what is planned. We wouldn’t want to spoil the surprise, really. The only thing I can say is that it will be different from the Eurofurence PawPet show. After all, we would like to create a diversity, a new aspect of furry pawpetry here, not a clone of what we already have.

So, all you puppet junkies out there, dig deep into your wallets and see if you can attend Confuzzled!

Yours,

Fairlight!
